MODERN PARADIGMS OF MEDICAL EDUCATION: BREAKTHROUGH METHODS OF TRAINING SPECIALISTS USING STANDARDIZED PATIENTS

Abstract

This article presents a systematic analysis of current trends in medical education, with a particular focus on the integration of innovative training methodologies, especially the use of standardized patients. In the context of global transformations in healthcare and the exponential advancement of biotechnology, traditional didactic approaches are becoming increasingly inadequate. The authors explore the fundamental significance of simulation-based learning methods, including the use of standardized patients, in developing not only applied clinical skills but also students’ communicative competencies and critical clinical thinking. The assessment of clinical competencies through the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) ensures a high level of validity and objectivity in evaluating students’ preparedness. The article provides an overview of the implementation of these methods within the educational process of the Faculty of Medicine at Jalal-Abad State University (JASU), along with an empirical analysis of their impact on the quality of education and the professional readiness of future physicians.
