Author Guidelines

Eurasian Journal of Scientific and Multidisciplinary Research is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that does not impose article-processing charges (APC). These guidelines adhere to the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals as established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Research Reporting Standards

Authors are encouraged to consult the following EQUATOR Network standards for research reporting:

  • CONSORT for randomized trials
  • STROBE for observational studies
  • CARE for case studies
  • PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses
  1. Manuscript Preparation
    • Text Formatting
    • Manuscripts must be submitted electronically in MS Word format (.doc, .docx, .rtf).
    • Use 12-point Times New Roman font, 1.5-line spacing, and 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
    • Use bold or italic where necessary, but do not underline text.
    • Remove unnecessary spaces and line breaks using the Find and Replace function in Microsoft Word.

Article Length

  • Original Articles: 10–12 pages (A4), max 5000 words
  • Literature Reviews: 15–18 pages
  • Clinical Cases: 4–6 pages
  • Short Reviews: 4 pages

Language

Manuscripts are accepted in English and/or Russian. Meta-data will be published in both languages. Authors may submit full-text articles in both languages if desired. Poor-quality English submissions will not be edited or published.

Submission Process

  • Submissions must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.
  • Articles should be submitted through the Online Submissions system. Authors must register before submission.
  • Submit images (figures, graphs, diagrams) as separate files in JPG or TIF formats, ensuring a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
  • Images should be high contrast and sharp, with dimensions allowing for clear readability.
  • Use RGB or CMYK color formats, avoiding compression.

Accompanying Documents: Submissions must include:

  • A cover letter from the institutional body where the study was conducted
  • A declaration of competing interests
  • Copyright agreements for authors
  • A statement of ethical approval
  1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must include the following sections:

  • Title Page
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Main Text (including tables and figures)
  • Additional Information
  • References
  • Full Author Information (in English)

2.1 Title Page

  • The title should be descriptive yet concise (max 100 characters), with only the first word and proper nouns capitalized.
  • Author names and affiliations: List all authors with superscript numbers linking each author to their institution.
  • The corresponding author's contact details must include name, degree, affiliation, job title, institutional address, email, and phone number.

2.2 Abstract

  • The abstract should be structured, containing 250 words (or 1800–2500 characters).
  • It must include Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • The Results section should make up at least 50% of the abstract.
  • Systematic review abstracts should specify the search methods used in Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, EBSCO, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Global Health.

2.3 Keywords

  • Include 3–6 keywords relevant to the article’s content.
  • Review articles must include the word “review” in the keyword list.

2.4 Main Text Structure

Original research articles should follow the IMRAD structure:

  • Introduction: Overview of the global research landscape, a review of relevant literature, novelty of the study, and research objectives.
  • Materials and Methods: Detailed methodology, study design, participant criteria, ethical approval, statistical analysis, and data sources.
  • Results: Clear and concise presentation of findings, statistical significance, and appropriate data representation.
  • Discussion: Comparison with existing literature, study implications, and recommendations for future research.
  • Conclusions: Summary of key findings and study impact.

2.5 Additional Information

  • Conflict of Interest Statement: Disclose any potential conflicts (financial, institutional, or personal) that may affect the integrity of the research.
  • Funding Information: List all sources of financial support but omit funding amounts.
  • Acknowledgments: Recognize contributors who do not meet authorship criteria.
  • Author Contributions: Clearly define each author’s role (e.g., study design, data collection, analysis, manuscript drafting).

2.6 References

  • Follow National Library of Medicine (NLM) standards.
  • Use the Vancouver citation style, numbering references in order of appearance (not alphabetical).
  • Ideal reference counts:
    • Original Articles & Lectures: 20–30 references
    • Narrative Reviews: 60–100 references
  • References must prioritize peer-reviewed sources published in the last 5–7 years.
  • Avoid excessive self-citations and references to conference abstracts, dissertations, textbooks, or non-peer-reviewed sources.
  • Include DOI or PubMed ID for references whenever available.

2.7 Author Information

Each author must provide:

  • Full name
  • Degree and academic title
  • Affiliation (institution, department, unit)
  • Email
  • ORCID ID (optional)

  1. Plagiarism and Secondary Publications
  • Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
  • The journal reserves the right to screen submissions using Turnitin, Grammarly, and iThenticate.
  • Authors must revise and proofread their manuscripts thoroughly before submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
